On October 5, 2015, upon the invitation of the School of International Relations, Universitas Bakrie, public lecture of the Ambassador of Georgia Mr. Zurab Aleksidze was held on the topic: “The Role of Georgia in the Global era”. The lecture on Georgia was attended by up to 100 students.
In the presentation of the Ambassador special attention was paid to the problems and challenges of the region and country, attending audience was provided with information regarding the situation on the occupied territories and Russian-Georgian relations. The Ambassador stressed achievements gained through successful reforms carried out by the Georgian Government as well as the contribution made by the country in insuring international security. Mr. Zurab Aleksidze also tackled the main aspects of the Georgian history, culture and the uniqueness of the Georgian alphabet.
Profile: Zurab Aleksidze - Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Indonesia In October 2012 Mr. Zurab Aleksidze was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia. In 2011 - 2012 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia he became the Director of the Department Asia, Africa, Australia and Pacific Rim. In 2007 - 2011 he served as the Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic and Croatia.
