Profil Singkat (Brief Profile):

Dianingtyas earned her bachelor degree from Universitas Kristen Indonesia at 2006. During her study there, she was actively involved in many public relation activities such as when she joined Barnabas Suebu’s success team in Papua election. Afterwards, Dianingtyas continued to pursue her passion in communication and public relation as PR Officer at Elite Advertising. Later on, she sought a new challenge as marketing public relation at Trijaya Pratama in which she was demanded to be able to perform marketing functions aside from her regular duty as public relation officer. Dianingtyas’s career in academic world started at 2008 when she worked for an education consultant. In the same time, she took her Magister Degree at Universitas Indonesia. Dianingtyas remained in the academic world after obtaining her magister degree by working at Central of Research for Communication Sciences (PUSKA), still at Universitas Indonesia. At PUSKA, Dianingtyas organized several workshops and trainings whilst also becoming a consultant for several government ministries such as the Ministry for Women Empowerment and Child Protection. Shortly after, Dianingtyas moved from PUSKA and joined Universitas Bakrie as one of the lecturers in Communication Sciences Department.

Profil Singkat (Brief Profile):

His ideals are to create reliable and ethical journalists, always honoring their profession and stand for the public. Aryo graduated from Sociology UGM at 2005, majoring in Media Sociology. At 2010, he received an opportunity to continue his study for magister degree through a scholarship programme for journalists from Medco Foundation – Paramadina University, majoring in Political Communication. Aryo earned his magister degree at 2011 with a cum laude.

Aryo,  a staff for Independent Journalist Alliance (AJI) Jakarta, began his career in broadcasting journalism way back in 2010 during his time at college. He worked as a presenter, journalist, and producer at Swaragama FM Radio at Jogjakarta. Feeling the urge to raise the challenge, Aryo moved to Eltira Radio Jogjakarta (a radio under Kompas Group). He acts as a Manager of Newscasting. He also worked for Elshinta Radio Jakarta, presenting at prime time regular (Elshinta News and Morning and Noon Talk).

His TV journalism career began at 2005, working for several tv stations such as ANTV, TPI (now MNCTV), and tvONE. His highest achievement as tv journalist was when he became the producer for investigation program. July 2011, he decided to quit from mainstream media and focus on education which he also has undergone since 2007. He worked for several universities such as Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka, Paramadina University, and Universitas Pembangunan Jaya. He started as part time lecturer for Bakrie University at 2010. A year later, he joined Bakried University as a permanen lecturer. His passions are mainly on journalism, press freedom and independence, media sociology, democratization and media community, and political economic media.

Profil Singkat (Brief Profile):

Equipped with a degree in Master of Arts (MA) from Monash University, Australia in 2002 and Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, the United States in 1998, Dessy Kania began her career as an advertising practitioner in one of the global advertising agencies in Jakarta. She was delegated to manage and supervise one of the largest telecommunications client in Indonesia; PT. Telkomsel.

Her goal to become a lecturer in higher education has rooted since she was still studying in college. Her career as an academic began started when she joined Universitas Pelita Harapan (Karawaci-Tangerang) in 2005. As a one of the communication faculty member, Dessy enjoyed teaching subjects such as: Marketing Communication, Advertising and Consumer Behavior. After 2 years in joining UPH, Dessy was trusted to become the Chairperson of the Department of Communication Studies.

After nearly five years of joining UPH, Dessy Kania then joined Universitas Bakrie and elected as the Head of Communication Studies Program until 2012. In Universitas Bakrie, Dessy teach courses in communications, such as Mass communication, psychology of communication, introduction to communication studies, organizational communications, public relations, radio/television broadcasting, and journalism.

Alongside of her teaching duties, Dessy has participated and contributed highly in research and presented papers in national and international conferences especially in topics such as: new media, mass media, culture and media, gender and media, gender and communication organization, advertising, consumer behavior and integrated marketing communication.

 

In addition to teaching and research, Dessy also actively involved in community services in teaching high school graduate in rural areas for job interviewing skills, leadership skills and public relations skills for high school teachers.

Prior to working as a full time lecturer, Mirana has had experience as communication and media practitioner in the local and multinational companies for more than 10 years. Her last position in the professional world as Investor Relations Officer brought her and team to achieve Annual Report Award for five times respectively. Now, Mirana holds certification for international corporate sustainability reporting specialist (CSRS), national certification for investor relations, and national certification for corporate sustainability report assuror (CSRA)
